Mother-Son. From Purr to Growl

250 RON

Sometimes closeness purrs. Other times, it needs to growl.

The relationship between mother and son changes as both people change. Closeness, protection, and safety can coexist with the need for autonomy, distance, and boundaries. The movement from “we” to “I” can bring tenderness and complicity, but also tension, opposition, or conflict.

Mother-Son. From Purr to Growl is a set of 46 projective cards that explores the dynamics of the mother-son relationship and the way it transforms over time. The images create a symbolic language for closeness and separation, protection and control, dependence and autonomy, offering space both for what exists in the relationship and for what was missing.

Each card can open conversations about:

  • closeness, attachment, and safety
  • autonomy, separation, and boundaries
  • protection, control, and dependence
  • conflict, opposition, and emotional distance

In practice, Mother-Son can facilitate:

  • exploring the mother-son relationship through symbolic language
  • expressing emotions and needs that are difficult to formulate directly
  • exploring boundaries and the process of differentiation
  • identifying relational patterns that continue to influence current relationships
  • opening conversations that remained unspoken

It can be used in:

  • individual psychotherapy
  • psychological counseling
  • family therapy
  • personal development groups
  • individual or group exploration

46 illustrated cards.

One relationship. Many ways of being close.

And sometimes, a growl that says the distance between two people also has something to tell.
